Goals by Ryan
Goals are things we should always keep in mind. As a fourteen-year-old teenager, I currently have many goals that I want to achieve. Within a year, I would like to make new friends and make the tennis team. Within five years, I would like to apss the driving test and be enrolled into an Ivy league college, ideally Cornell. I would also like to be ranked number one in America for tennis, if that's possible. Within ten years, I would like to find a job that will allow me to live happiily and without stress in the East Hill.
I recently moved to a new district this past week, and I am now attending Northern Valley Demarest Highschool. I feel this will be a great time for me to begin working on my first goal, and make new friends. I would like to be friends with all of the incoming freshmen. As a freshmen, I would like to try out for the tennis team and be first singles on the varsity team, however, it will be challenging since I will be new to the team.
The next five yeras will be the most challenging years of my life. They will decide how I will live in the future. For example, in the next couple of years, i can be the person driving a Ferrari or just watching my friends driving it because I'd failed my driving test. I feel the next five years all depend on how well I do on test. The SAT will decide if I will get into a college which willd be a big part of my life. Entrance into Cornell, my ideal college, will be decided by my SAT scores, and my GPA.
Though I haven't quite realized my ten-year goals, I know that I would like to get a job which will continuously make me rich throughout my life. For example, if I coul be a doctor, a lawyer, or a tennis pro, then I might be able to live happily in the East Hill.
It's not just "Oh I want to do that!" and make that as a goal. In order for a goal to be real, hard work will pay off. If I do not achieve these goals succesfully, I will not be able to live happier than I think I will.
